Interview: XBIZ Male Cam Model of the Year Jaden Storm

What is it that keeps fans flocking into a cam guy’s room over multiple years? This is the question that Flirt star Jaden Storm tries to answer in his exclusive interview. In the latter weeks of 2019, Jaden stormed into his chatroom to conquer the first annual Flirty Awards. This first-of-its-kind camming contest brought millions of users online to cast free votes nominating their favorite Flirt guy in a particular category. The most consistent name on the leader boards? You guessed it. Jaden Storm. He campaigned like a madman during the 2-week contest, nabbing 3 first-place prizes while making his presence felt in several others. It’s sexy, high-energy, all-out performances like this one that has endeared this gorgeous American guy to live cam fans for the better part of a decade. It’s performances like this that made Jaden Storm an obvious choice for the XBIZ 2020 Male Cam Model of the Year. We sat down with Jaden to learn about all the things that got him here. Charles Farley: Hi Jaden! So when did you join Flirt4Free and what has your experience been like so far?
Jaden Storm: I believe I began around April of 2013. I have very much enjoyed the experience F4F has offered. It’s a different one than other cam sites I’ve been on. Here, I’m able to really get to know the people when we do a 1-on-1 private show. The private show experience is what really draws me to being on Flirt. I also enjoy the model competitions. It is not something that everyone has to participate in, but it’s extra incentive to try hard and go the extra mile to make sure you put on a great show! And though not all contests can be won, a good day on cam, plenty of hours with friends in chat, and hopefully a few good private shows will definitely make it all feel worthwhile.

CF: Congratulations on your XBIZ Male Live Cam Model of the Year award. How do you feel?
JS: Honestly, I’m very happy to have received this award. To me, this is an acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication I’ve put in over the years. I feel truly appreciated. There are so many other talented, dedicated, amazing-looking cam guys out there who were just as deserving. And to stand among them is a prize on its own.

CF: What accomplishments from 2019 are you most proud of? Do you think they influenced your big XBIZ win?
JS: I would have to say the Flirty Awards competition was my personal favorite accomplishment of the year. I placed in the top 3 of 5 different categories and won Friendliest Flirt, Best Flirt Ass and Best Flirt Dancer. This is my favorite accomplishment because this contest was a 2 week marathon where viewers could all vote for free for as many models as they wanted. That so many chose me in so many categories really showed how much fans appreciate all the cam shows I do and what I prepare for them.

CF: Which Flirty Award win are you most proud of and why?
JS: Friendliest Flirt! I am very happy to have won all 3, but this one stands out because it is more about my personality. There are thousands of hot models that people can go watch at any given time on cam, but people continue to come back and watch me year after year. I have a few people who are still watching and chatting with me today who were present during my first cam show ever in 2008. So I’m pretty sure it’s not my physical appearance that they stick around for. One of the biggest compliments I can receive is someone telling me they like me for who I am, not just what I look like.

CF: What drew you to push so hard during the Flirtys?
JS: I’m going to be a little too honest on this one. The fact that the votes could not be purchased is what drove me to show how hard I could push myself during my cam shows. I don’t mind when a contest is won by another model. I’m very happy to see them do extremely well when someone tips huge and helps them win. I don’t expect to win every contest nor do I really want to. I wouldn’t get excited for them if I did. However, when it’s 100% based on viewer’s choice … I love to participate in those kinds of contests and just try my absolute best. I can sleep when it’s over. (laughs)

CF: As the Friendliest Flirt, how do you keep your chatroom so chill and lighthearted?
JS: I try to get to know people and do my best to get everyone to engage in chat. Not everyone does, but I still try and check in to see how everyone’s doing. During non-private show times, I mostly chat about what’s going on in my personal life or I ask people about how their lives are going. I enjoy putting on a show but there are only so many hours I can be "performing" before I run out of energy or need a break.

CF: As someone known for both recorded clips and live cam content, which do you prefer? How do you prepare differently for each type of performance?
JS: Recorded content is by far easier in the sense that you just do what you have planned to do. There’s no stress over making a mistake because it can always be edited out. However, live cam is much more fun because I get to interact and engage with everyone in the room. It makes it so much more personal and I get to laugh with everyone. I do enjoy doing recorded scenes. It’s awesome for fans can’t be at my live shows. But I’ve always said: I am a cam model first. Content creation is something I do for my fan club.

CF: You spent several years in live cam house. What was that like, compared to how you cam today?
JS: The cam house was quite a great time overall. Like everything, it had its ups and downs. Sometimes you didn’t get along. Sometimes people got jealous. But in the end, it was great getting to be around other people that really understood you and what all camming consists of. Being able to talk to the other models and bounce ideas off one another was amazing. You don’t get that when you cam from home. By far, the community that the cam house created for the models is what I miss the most. Doing cam shows together and just playing games … There were some of the best shows I have ever done.

CF: What gets your attention in chat? How can a new fan woo you?
JS: Chat. Most people think they have to tip, but if the chat room dies it becomes extremely boring and difficult to stay online. I will say though that people showing appreciation obviously goes a long way. Regardless of how much or how little, it always stands out to models when someone shows they value our time.

CF: Are there any special fetishes or roleplay scenarios you particularly like to explore while camming?
JS: This last year has been more about sex toys and Dom/Sub play where people tell me how they want to please me and how they’d help get me off. I’ve been enjoying it more so in Multi-User shows, where I have multiple people getting into the fantasy and it basically becomes an online orgy. I like orgies! (laughs)

CF: Your Captain America costume was a big hit during Halloween 2019. Is cosplay something you enjoy regularly integrating into your performances?
JS: Cosplay is quite fun for me. I love dressing up in different outfits and helping fulfill fantasies. The superhero theme is my favorite because so many have fantasies about what it would be like to hook up with their favorite superhero.

CF: Who is your favorite super hero, and why?
JS: Superman was always my number 1 hero. He has all that power and he still chooses to help people. He can pretty much do whatever he wants and nobody could really tell him no, yet he doesn’t. He doesn’t take advantage of his gifts and uses his abilities to help those who need it.

CF: So, when you’re not performing, how do you geek out? Any special passions or hobbies?
JS: In no particular order: anime, manga, video games, hunting, fishing, learning, do it yourself projects, going to the gym, and online games that train me to improve my cognitive abilities like memory, attention, flexibility, speed of processing, and problem solving.

CF: Finally, in your reviews, many Flirt fans rave about your sense of humor. Can you share a funny camming memory with us?
JS: Honestly I blame Wednesday nights! People say I have a great sense of humor but the truth is sometimes we have Whiskey Wednesday, and we end up talking crap to each other for hours. It's nice blowing off steam sometimes and that is what Wednesday is about. We just laugh it up and make jokes about each other. I can take it as good as I give it. No pun intended. (laughs)
